It’s really hard to believe that we have hit the final quarter of 2018. Time has just flown by. Halloween is almost here, which means Thanksgiving and Christmas aren’t far behind.
Recently the Arizona Professional Towing and Recovery Association held a #MoveOver event to help raise the awareness of drivers and their knowledge of the state law. We would like to continue that push with a reminder that ANY vehicle on the side of the road – it doesn’t matter if it is a disabled vehicle, law enforcement, or emergency vehicle – Arizona state law requires that you move over, if it is not safe to move over, drivers need to slow down and proceed with caution.
I spend a lot of time working in residential neighborhoods, and with Halloween approaching I thought it might be a good idea to remind you to keep an eye out for the kids. I know that my son and the kids in our neighborhood will be out Trick or Treating next Wednesday evening, but there will likely be events all over the city over the weekend. Please be safe out there.
If you will be heading out to parties over the weekend, please remember to have a designated driver (DD) or call a cab. No DD? Call a tow truck to take you and your car home! It will save you the cost of the cab ride and you won’t have to take one back the next day to pick up your car. There will likely be DUI checkpoints.
In short, the usual: drive smart, be aware, and DON’T drive intoxicated. Be safe, Tucson!
